What you're missing is that if you run the panels too slow, you can't even display video. The panels have to be run at a certain speed to support video, if they don't run that fast you get motion...

I'm still not convinced the current lenses aren't good enough, I mean they can resolve the gap between the pixels (e-Shift disabled) and that's much, much smaller than a 4k pixel.
