I selected the DTS:X track on "Ex Machina" and...

I selected the DTS:X track on "Ex Machina" and Dolby Surround, and it appeared to work fine without setting my player to PCM. I suspect because it's just played back the core DTS HD track...

You will have to pay a Structural Engineer to come up with a beam to span with the load put upon it. It could be costly to replace, but this is surely one area not to scrimp on.

I selected the DTS:X track and it played back in DTS HD + Dolby Surround. It sounded very good upmixed with Dolby Surround.

I liked the movie, as well.

I've not been a fan of the VOG or close together tops/rears for pretty much that reason. I prefer a nice spread to top front/top rear and rear surrounds in my 7.1.4 setup.

While I like having the dynamic IRIS, cause you never know down the road, I don't use it on the 55 and have great results with black levels.

3D is fine with the 55, but the novelty of 3D wore off...
