That won't work, because the CR-250 does not support auto sync. In N. America 60 Hz will be the correct setting most of the time. In Europe 50 Hz.

White balance errors are more serious than gamma. Even relatively small white balance errors can be easily visible. Small deviations in gamma are not nearly as important.

Yes, I have had this happen as well, and not just after auto-cal. As you say, it is fixed by an off/on switch on the Lumagen.
