A pair of SVS PB200's or PSA XV15SE would be ideal. If you can purchase a 1500.00 sub now then add another down the road I would go with a Rythmik FV15HP.

I remember reading about the VTF-3 Turbo back then and thought it was beastly looking. I think I googled "best powered subwoofer" and HSU's website popped up.

I was talking about max burst output and long term output. I disagree with your statement that nearly all subs drop in output above 63hz. You can scroll through the list at data bass.com and see...

The change from 15" drivers to 18" drivers believe it or not was to reduce weight. PSA managed to shave 80lbs off the Triax by bracing changes and switching to medium excursion 18" drivers and still...

First off the port is 3.5", second the sub was tested with no limiter in place, which obviously will change things. I do agree the FV15HP is slightly underported in 1 port but most variable tune subs...

The Rythmik is tuned lower so it will have a significant advantage down at 12hz. The HSU is not going to best the FV15HP, it is a well engineered piece of audio equipment. I do not think you can do...
