Those are ancient models. The JVC HD250 / RS 10 would be the oldest model worth considering for a used deal, though I'd say your better off with an RS-46, you can probably find an HD250 dirt cheap...

That's why the solution is to own both a JVC and a cheap DLP like a Benq (2 PJ Solution), rather than a Sony. I'm not paying $1600+ for a projector that MIGHT (or has a very high likelihood) of...

This was true years ago, but there is absolutely no reason to use a two projector setup to increase brightness these days. There are plenty of projectors that can do over 2000 lumens. Two projectors...

I wouldn't trade it even, Benq w7000's sell for $1000 to $1500 in the used market.
I use the w7000 as a secondary projector (JVC as primary), I'd like to pocket the $700 difference and get an...

The RS-45's...

Over 9000, now that's real high in elevation. You probably won't have any issues, just don't let the room get hot, then you might. I don't think many people have installed projectors at that high of...

A better room helps make the overall viewing environment darker, but the native on/off still helps even with imperfect rooms. The reason projectors can still go darker in imperfect rooms is because...

The RS-45 has better picture quality than the Sony as far as black levels and sharpness, but it also has more inaccurate color. So it depends on what you care about the most.

The RS-45 has a bit...

The Epson Pro units have ok pictures, but they don't even come close to a JVC for movie viewing. There are some issues with these projectors in not just dark scenes, but overall for HT viewing IMO.
