Until 2015/2016 there is not likely to be any real future proof solution as the 2014 models will be HDMI 2.0 but not HDCP 2.2. That video chip is not likely to be available until 2015/2016.

The 2nd button was dropped in 2010 (ie. XX11 and newer models) such that the existing button on the newer models is ON/Standby only so to turn the unit OFF you must now remove the power cable.
