I don't think it is that hard, just provide the option to stop EQ above a certain frequency, like 250 Hz. I don't use Audyssey because I don't like what it does to mids and highs.

Yes, I did try that on one song and could not distinguish a difference. Will need to find a song that seems up tempo, play it on multiple sources and use a stop watch to compare.

So is the XMC1 fully balanced or only L&R? The print on the front seems to imply fully balanced.

I have been recently using the 103 as a music player utilizing a WD external powered USB hard drive and I question the tempo or speed control. Several songs seem like they are speeded up if ever so...

First off, music and speakers are a personal taste so there are no absolutes, only opinions. Perhaps instead of laid back maybe the term more polite may be used. To try and explain I will use an...

I have heard the R700s and this is not a characteristic of these from what I heard or have noted from others. The only knock I am aware is although still very detailed, they are a bit laid back...

8802 owners can chime in but feedback I have seen the 8802 is a step above the 8801 SQ wise, independent of the other features.

I have heard the LS50s both with and without a sub and R700s without. I am told the R500 may be more pure than the R700 but the R700 is very good. I would gravitate to the LS50s with a tight, musical...

In the early 90s I heard the 801 Matrix series 3 with a Krell CD player (large weight you lifted off to manually load the CD), Krell preamp, and Krell power amp (100 wpc class A) and yes, they...

Since just a poll question, I believe the Revels would edge out the 802/HTM2 primarily as the Salons are extremely neutral and full range. Now compared to Studio2s, I would go 802 because they look...

Front three are 800D2s, surrounds may be a mix of 802D2 (sides) and 802D1 (back) if memory serves and yes to California. He has a smaller room with a LS50 multichannel system, not sure if 5.x or 7.x....

I have a 4bsst2 but it seems interesting to me that the only two models that seem to get the accolades are the 9B and the 28B. The 4B is often referred to as a tank regarding reliability. I have been...

The Parasound Halo and especially the JC1s should be very good for the Blade2s or Reference but my gut feel is Classe' may be a great fit with Kef. Dav1dF on the UK based AVForum really liked the...

It will be far from overkill, just the much better option. The CMCS1 was highly regarded so the CMCS2 should just be that much better and a match to the CM10s or CM6s. A good center is important...

Some tend to regard the Bryston SP3 as more sonically pure then the Classe' but I don't think it would be smoother. So if one puts a scale of tube to SS, one might have McIntosch on left (for SS),...

I would need to know how it sounded on 2 channel music versus the Marantz 8802 before I would consider the 80.6. The consensus is the 80.3 (which I have) got beat by the 8801 and the 8802 appears to...
