Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to go for a Denon 1910 because i cant find any damning issues online with them (like onkyo's HDMI boards) and there's a couple nice cheap ones on the bay.

I think the circular shape of the drum will make for a very strong enclosure since the force is applied equally to all sides at the same time.

Nope, there shouldn't be any problems with using a Y splitter on the subwoofer out. I'm not running two subs but using a Y splitter with the t747 will be the same as using a y splitter on any other...
