For 5.1 hi-rez which is about 75% of my speaker use, I actually preferred the 80xx speakers over the older 70xx speakers, IMO :) . I haven't demoed anything older than that for comparison

I'd would think having 7.1 channels of discrete audio would be more desirable then 5.1.2 channels of DSU processed...

Thanks for the reply. Turns out there is a synch adjustment in the audio menu. By adjusting to -200 I get really close. I don't watch a lot of TV but this will be acceptable for my Packer games...
