I adjusted that in the Radiance, as it was the Radiance that has the white balance/gamma calibration in my system. The JVC PJ has some similar controls but I'm not very familiar with them.

I've seen something similar when I had a poor white balance/gamma calibration on my Lumagen Radiance. Once I lowered the luma at the 5% point, it made a huge improvement.

Sometimes when you fast-forward or rewind, the PJ takes a few seconds to resync to the 3-2 cadence, and during that time motion is jerky. That's the biggest drawback I've seen.
