I give the nod to the Sony over the Panny with regards to the remote control as well.

The Panasonic is a solid player though. Definitely a better than average Blu Ray player.

I can listen to OTA at 8 to 10, but that is lowish, I usually listen at 11 to 15. Some fluxation on Roku streaming service and amongst Blu Rays, but Ive never set it about 25.

Thanks. I think Denon switched over to Faroudja/Silicon Optix the year they first offered HDMI output.

The F8500 is perfect for that brighly lit room, plus gives you great viewing angles for the room dimensions as well.
