Also paint the front wall black at a minimum - paint the ceiling black to minimize the light reflection...

I hear ya - and I love the way the Triads sound. However, to get 4 new Triad in-wall bi-poles it is around $2k. (minus whatever I can sell the existing ones for....)

Triad Surround Dipoles to DIY Monopole - Thoughts?

I am going to ATMOS and I have 4 in-wall Triad Di-pole Surround Speakers and they are too old to be converted to Bi-pole by Triad.
