What it does not say in the specs is whether this applies as "full range" or +/-2% of any specific reading....

You might be used to over bright display, takes a while to readjust your brain. However you could be a little low contrast for the room conditions, so try raising the contrast by the same 5 clicks.

They have various sizes depending on how much you want to fit in, although I chose mine to allow for carry on aircraft baggage. Some airlines are strict.
