I let my kids watch the new Ninja Turtles movie tonight and it gave my PSA XS30 quite a workout. the downhill snow scene was pretty intense. I was surprised at the amount of bass in that movie.

It's been a great read over the past week or so. I'll be interested to hear how two S3000i subs sound together. It would also be really cool to see how a S3000i and a S1500 near-field would sound in...

I've had both of these subs and the PB-2000 is far and away a better sub. Your wife may retract her "blessing" once you get it properly situated and calibrated. In all but rather large rooms, it...

"The PSA Output Factor" XS15se ($750) vs. S1500 ($950)

Right up front, what makes the S1500 $200 better? Using the PSAOF, the 16Hz to 100Hz give the S1500 a sliver of an advantage of 121.9dB to 121.6dB for the XS15se. Across the PSA chart of ranges, the...

If you do end up buying the klipsch sub-12, if at all possible, don't buy it from frys.com. Amazon has a much better return policy than frys, which actually has a terrible one. If there is an...

Absolutely. Today I took mine out of my garage to use in the living room, since I recently sold my SVS PB12-NSD. Still amazing what the Klipsch can deliver for under 200 bones. It recreates the WWZ...

Either sub would work for that room size. I'm really a fan of the SVS Sledge amps and the limiter they have really keep the sub from being over-driven during intense low bass. Something like the...

Well the OP did ask for recommendations for a $200 budget. Probably have to pay tax on the NXG, as well. The NXG would cost me $281.40 ordered from AV House through Amazon. I had both the NXG...

If you are waiting on the F12 to drop in price it may not happen for a while. It seems to be settled in pretty well at around $200. The F12 is a solid sub, no doubt, but I actually preferred the Bic...

More than likely the V1500 and the Echo 15 won't be that far apart performance wise, but of course we don't know. What we do know is the Echo 15 is $100 cheaper and will be using a more powerful 925w...

You'll likely be returning the SB1000. That sub isn't a good option for a 3,000+ ft^3room. Even the PB1000 isn't likely going to cut the mustard. You would need at least one PB-2000, maybe two...

I can't say the PSW505 is "crap", as that's one budget sub I've never had. One of the main reasons I never tried it, however, is the many negative reports I've read over the past several years of the...
