With the MRX 710 I would use HDMI or SPDIF out from the computer to the receiver, no point in a DAC in the middle. I use an external DAC, but my old Rotel has no digital section.

I'm not sure on those, but I have found spdif out (or HDMI) from computer to receiver preferable to analogue. Just a thought as you are working out your configuration.
