I figure it as a typo anyway--In a 15 ft. wide room a spread of 7.5 ft. apart (1/4 & 3/4 width) for front wall subs would accomplish what you suggest.

FWIW Venue Manager runs on Win 7.
Interestingly QSYS Designer will run on XP.
I/O add on boxes for QSYS come in chunks of 4 cards. You get a 4 or 8 card box. Each card is 4 channels of I or O.

Good to know that the +\- 45 degree speakers are used in Dolby surround upmixing, just not the +\- 60 degree "wides" ( or vice-versa ). Don't wanna smear the front soundstage.

If you don't have more speakers than the base TrueHD feed then, AFAIK, nothing happens. There is no reason for the Atmos machinery to kick in -- nothing for it to do.
