The 7009 is basically the Marantz souped up...

The 7009 is basically the Marantz souped up version of the X4100 with 9 amps. Its capabilities are the same as the X5200. Remember Marantz models are architecturally identical to the Denons.

That's the rating on the power supply (it's actually 780W), they don't specify what it means but I imagine it's the MAX continuous draw. It should be a fraction of that in normal use.
