Personally, I wouldn't want to deal with trying to direct connect to the hard drives in the bays. I think it'd be possible, but you lose all the benefits of the bays (ie easily pull out, swap etc)....

I switched from my Ceton 4 tuner to 2xHDHR...

I switched from my Ceton 4 tuner to 2xHDHR Primes. Definitely do it. Rock solid stable, unlike the Ceton that would drop recordings and fail to tune for no reason.
