I get it for sure. Being on a suspended floor makes a huge difference and I'm sure you are getting great bass in there!! Keep in mind I don't use subs myself when it comes to music.

That's weird, my avr sets the 215's at -5 when I don't have an external amp in the chain. Are you saying your avr sets them to -12 with the external amp? If so just turn down the gain on the amp.
