I used self tapping cabinet screws, but felt the need to reinforce with coarse thread drywall screws once in place. I trust coarse thread drywall screws the most, but i have to pre-drill for them.

Are you running ported or sealed? If ported, 800 watts each for four 18s should be plenty. They could use a lot more, sure, but you wouldnt put it to use unless you listen at well over reference...
