Hey, he was worried about actual humans. Apparently, some synthetics have been buying all the OLEDs. May need a Blade...

Well, there won't ever be one at 2K, so I really don't care about some arbitrary "visibility criteria" being tossed about it.

I do like your prediction of affordability next year on that 77 inch....

It isn't larger than many have assumed. :(

It is, however, something like two orders of magnitude larger at Vizio / Sharp prices than it is at $10,000 or more. And I may have dropped an order of...

1) I'd say you can put 90% yields into question on principle.

2) That said, I think you can't extrapolate pricing on a low-volume set based on yields. Few people demand 77-inch TVs period. LG...

I don't see that at all. Many technologies that are "good enough" last for decades with incremental improvements and small profits for those that make them.

There was ridiculously stubborn IR on forum owners' sets from watching minimal letterbox content. That's what I'm referring to. Given that I can't generate any IR on my plasma from a marathon of said...

You're just glossing over the mysterious image retention issues owners here (and elsewhere) have had. Maybe related to the IGZO backplanes, maybe not. And, sorry, but pixel patterning here is...

Yeah, but the 4K models are the first generation of that. And the total shipments to date are really small. It's not as if LG is drawing on a huge ecosystem of OLED TV makers. This is more than...

One "stuck" pixel even on a 4K set will be visible at a great distance.

A dead one might not be, but I would return a TV with a single dead pixel out of 8 million on general principles.

It's worth noting if it gets better on the 4K sets, for sure.
