I could be mistaken , but I think that the AUTO1/AUTO2 options are only present when the tv receives an interlaced signal. DVDs are 420P.

Calibrator left it off for calibration for the sake of purity, but said that I could put it back on to Dark Room afterwards without adversely affecting other aspects of the calibration.
