Typically when you buy higher end stuff you get features and PQ assets you don't typically see "trickle down" to the cheaper end units (or they don't receive them at all) for a number of years....

It has more calibrated lumens than both the PT-AE8000 and the Epson 5030, 600 and 650 lumens respectively. The Runco has around 700 lumens, more if you enable brilliant color.

I would own the Runco LS-5 over the current 3LCD Panasonic and Epson machines. From what I've seen these 3LCD machines are just missing something in their respective images.
