yeah one of the reason's why an ATMOS or an IMAX theater is actually worth the drive, or the cost is that you know what you are getting. Otherwise it's a crap shoot.

Countersink is easy option to get the screw deep enough to fill and sand and paint over.

If you have a impact driver and drill set up a 1-2 punch tandem. It's a bit more work but effective.
