As Cell indicated... Its better to go 2.1 or 3.1 rathern than 5.0. At least for HT.

I personally would recommend QUINTET Klipsch. Your on a super tight budget and to me...these sound the best for a micro 5.0 system. Get them for about 230 deilvered on Ebay.

Was wondering about mixing different subwoofers. I know the rules about front stage should be the same for HT. It is optimal all to be tonal matching for 5.1 music...

I second HSU. You want as much sub as you can.

Even if you don't go with the HSU speakers I don't think you can find a better Sub for the price. Sure there ARE better subs not for the price...
