The SB-2000 is a sealed sub - no port to worry about. The XV15se's port requires a few inches of clearance from the nearest wall, IIRC.

500 sq.ft. x 8' = 4,000 cu.ft. In a room that size, you're better off with a ported sub. At a bare minimum, you should consider the SVS PB-1000. Or, for a bit more money, the Rythmik LV12R.
