Just buy the TV with the best PQ available, propper calibrate it, watch best sources on it, only watch TV in the dark/dimmed room, and you will see lots of realism ;)

There was a thread started on the subject because UMR noticed lots of milky blacks on LCds, which will look horrible in a dark room with a decent plasma standing next to it. Nothing came out of that....

I would not use (FALD) LCd in a dark room. Most panels that end up in the store are not 100%. Even if they are 100% over time they might get ''milky'' meaning the blacks will look like there is milk...
