No, you'll never get more than 2-LPCM either through the TV or connecting to the Home Theater System. BANDWIDTH is the problem! The connection is exactly equivalent to S/PDIF.

Check the thread. It's been thoroughly discussed. But basically, bandwidth of the HDMI-in of the HTS is not enough for 6 or 8-LPCM (only 2-LPCM).

An EDID override would only be required if DD and DTS are not listed as supported for the HDMI audio device. Check that first in the audio properties of the device.

Install the EDID override and test with MPC-HC....

Install the EDID override and test with MPC-HC. Set LAV audio decoder to bitstream DD and DTS. Play a movie with a DD or DTS audio track. It should work.
