I have only heard the R700s also and was very impressed but someone who's input I trust actually preferred the R500s. From what I've read and been told if the deal is good I would go for it.

The H300 has a DAC so it might be worth letting things break in then try a 105(D) later with analog and then digital. If the built in DAC is as good, then go 103(D). If not, keep the 105(D).
