Yep, I was able to bottom mine out in a sealed enclosure, hence the switch ;)

Newer models, maybe from 2013 on? I can never remember.. anyway, they have a shorter spider and a bit more clearance...

You don't NEED double. The output will be very similar watt per watt, since the displacement is similar. Going double will give the edge to the multiple drivers.

2ch driven into 2r will put out 750wpc

This is running in 4ch mode, not bridged, and off separate bridgeable channels....

*shrug* I still think this is a mistake. These amps are great for subs, but there are tradeoffs. No point buying one of these for mains in a non commercial environment imo.

No, it's not the most current it will draw. That's the RMS current it's meant to be able to sustain up to for a length of time. Fuses and breakers don't trip the instant you pull more than X amount...
