The RS 600 is listed as 150,000:1. My Epson 8700UB is listed as 200,000:1. I find it hard to believe my projector has a higher contrast than the 600 since it's been descried as a "contrast...

I can't envision why they would do that. Very little stations, if any, are in 1080P. Jumping straight to 8K when there is no benefit over 4K is a bit silly.

I read that Occulus switched to OLED from LCD mostly to help alleviate motion sickness problems but that should also solve any screen door effect.

Well this set is a bit different. Since they are making them one at a time as an order comes through, they never have to worry about overproduction. Or underproduction for that matter. Vizio...

I saw it at an AMC Prime theater in Texas. One of eight in the nation. While the HDR picture had a little more "pop" to it and deeper blacks, I would not have noticed the picture was any different...

I can't wait until one of these models gets tested with actual 4K discs or content. I won't consider one until it does.

I will probably end up with one of the new JVC's. But to be honest, my buddy's Sony eshift 3 for $4000 ( can't remember model number) doesn't look any better than my Epson 8700UB. The real test...

In regards to the streaming comments, even 35 gig files would blow through your monthly data cap pretty fast depending on how often you stream them. At 100 gigs, that would kill a third of your...

I sit 12' away from a 120" screen using an Epson 8700UB with a Darbee. I wonder how big of a jump in PQ it would be going to an RS500. My Epson is pretty darn bright with excellent contrasts.

As mentioned before, the 120" was to make a statement, not to make a profit. Vizio needed something to get them out of the stereotype of being low end and cheap. The 120" does that.

As far as...

Since the 2015 M series showed up around spring of this year, does anyone think they will have a 2016 version? Since they are refreshing the P series this spring, they might not renew a 2016 M.

Once the players are released, I wonder if there will be disc rentals available at Netflix and/or Redbox. A purchase only option will not be feasible for regular movie watching for most of us.
