1) IMHO, there is no need to purchase an extended warranty.
The player has a nice full 2 year warranty when purchased, and after that warranty expires, Oppo has excellent pricing
on out of warranty...

Reason being is, DSD can not be passed through S/PDIF (optical)......

I have mentioned in the past, there are 3 main inputs on the 10x players...
Blu-ray / Dvd / Apps / USB are in the most used one, but then there is also the HDMI-front, and HDMI-rear inputs....

Incorrect. The MC app works just fine without using the beta firmware in the player, with the exception of Tidal. You need the beta firmware to use Tidal through the player.
