Are you using a regular browser for Netflix or an actual Netflix app (Android, built-in TV app, Windows 10, etc.)? The difference is that the DRM-secured apps let you stream DD+ 5.1, which will...

I, for one, welcome our new 8K overlords.

So this article shows the connectivity of the TV and it shows two HDMI connections (presumably 2.0), what looks like a CableCARD slot and a large SDHC...

Geometry Wars: KV-34XBR800

I just picked up a free KV-34XBR800 the other day. From all outward appearances it appears to be in mint condition. I'm planning on building an arcade cabinet out of it for older arcade games,...

Native 120Hz (or higher) OLED?

I have a very specific focus and that is primarily PC gaming. Ideally I would ask for a OLED 1080p-1440p 120/144Hz monitor, but I'll settle for ANY OLED with a native 120Hz input and refresh rate. ...

Obviously it's going to be the low-hanging fruit first. Anything that has already been mastered or remastered in 4K+ will be first on the shelves.

I don't know for sure, but it is likely that the 2D version is just the old scan (pre-UHE). I think that's what they did with Jurassic Park as well. The 3D version had heavy DNR (grain makes the 3D...

To my knowledge there is really only one option. Slysoft AnyDVD HD. The full setup is not very cheap, but it will copy 1:1 Blu-ray to ISO for playback. Be prepared to buy many, many hard drives.

Maybe it's all a conspiracy by Arnold to make sure that no one can ever truly see how young he used to look, so he tries to block any remastering of his classics.

Based ONLY on those two caps, it looks more like noise than grain... either way, the reduced DNR is welcome.

I'm not septuple-dipping until we get a REAL 4K remaster, though.

Isn't this essentially the 80/20 rule in project management? 80% of the work is the low-hanging fruit, the "easy stuff" like framing, rough wiring, etc. The last 20% is always the hardest and/or...

Right. I wasn't able to find any issues with city/state code, but I figured since some of these speakers hit over 2000W peak (on paper), it couldn't hurt anything to overbuild - other than my wallet.
