That's true but once the image from the Sony starts to appear, it does reach full brightness in about 10 seconds.


You could design the thing to reach full brightness quickly but your lamp life...

The 500/600 is no different from the 1000/1100ES. The native chip image is 17/9 and if that aspect is utilized by setting the aspect setting in the menu to 1.85 or 2.35, the only choices available...
