Yep. It sounds to me like you are a perfect candidate for nearfield placement though however. You can get that feeling back at least.

I typically don't use the rubber mounting ring when installing drivers, but with the HST's I actually did use them. There is still enough playroom with most that you can fit some needle nose pliers...
