Based on a similar situation (Deep Base Module vs Sub) with the 54 inch 3.0 vs the 54 inch 5.1, I would say that the subwoofer will give you much better performance.

But 5,1 is better than 2.1,...

I don't know why you wouldn't want to use the rear speaker, but putting that aside, the 54 inch width of the Vizio is better suited to the size of your screen.

It will give you a wider soundstage...
