Keep the distance between mic positions to only 0.5 meter for better results ... focus on the main listening position. Also put the sides on stands. :)

Also make sure that the main FL/FR speakers are set to at least SMALL/80Hz. If the sub isn't powering on at all (even for DD/DTS 5.1 audio), then there may be a problem with it.

Please refer to post 3 of this thread for lots of helpful troubleshooting information. The AVR switching to TV is because you have the HDMI-CEC on the TV (Anynet+, BraviaSync, VierraLink, etc.)...

Yes, the volume knob on the sub. And yes, confused your AVR with the Pioneer sub, so if the Sony has some kind of speaker setup program, then run it again after lowering the volume on the sub.

Sorry, no different than the Wifi feature ...streaming "to" the AVR, however, you should be able to connect a Bluetooth transmitter to the Zone 2 pre-outs and use your headphones that way.

Sure. A tripod or better yet, mic boom stand would be a better solution, but for the masses that would just stack up some pillows, a much better option using the "rocketship."
