Could someone just do a full 21-point Luminance reading before and after the reset and post the numbers?

I just tested the first few minutes of the new Transformers (2D) on the old '83 and it bitstreamed TrueHD 7.1 just fine to my Anthem pre.

So the downmix:stereo option doesn't work when playing a lossless track? Try the DD track if possible, since you said it works with trailers and DVD. (Your workaround notwithstanding.)

If you don't need a universal player (Oppo) a Sony would do. Actually this has been said already many times. I like the S790 if you can find one on Amazon or other warehouse with old stock.

That's awkward and may be problematic. It should go Other source -> Oppo -> D2 -> Projector.

If you have more than one "other source" just connect it to the D2. Can't have Darbee on everything but...
