We just provide the tools :) I would suggest you reach out to the TV reviewer's and testers and request the data from them, almost all of them use CalMAN and can replicate what we did.

I think it's the exact opposite, Game developers won't be limited by how they think a movie should look or how the director approved of the grade, they can really push it to the limit with colors...

FYI,

The HDR10 metadata is all zeros on the Life of Pi disc except for the ST2084 flag, all the rest of the metadata is zero. This is most likely why it's not properly going into to HDR mode.

FYI the Samsung K8500 strips off the MaxCLL and MaxFALL metadata from HDR10 files played via USB.

It might not matter for some TVs but others look at MaxCLL for their tone mapping.
