I absolutely prefer the Phillips for the reasons already provided. The only downside that I can see is that the Phillips doesn't have as many streaming options. I don't stream, so that doesn't...

Yes, but I can't A/B quickly because that involves recabling & disc switching. It's hard to judge from memory given the time lapse. The best comparison between the players that I've seen has been in...

The K8500 has red push, undefeatable DNR, and can't output 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 chroma. The Phillips player doesn't have those problems. My Radiance Pro has 9 Gbps input boards and the Samsung player...

The fundamental problem of trying to display 1000+ nit content on a 70 nit pj would not be resolved with dynamic metadata.

The best we could hope for would be a firmware update that improved the...

The K8500 won't do 4:2:2 or 4:2:0. If you put the Integral into a mode with a chroma subsampling of less than 4:4:4, the player will switch to RGB. To answer your original question, connect the...

That's why projector owners should get Radiance Pros to output tone mapped SDR, right? If a Pro doesn't send the HDR flag to the display, the display won't engage its own tone mapping algorithm.
