You shouldn't have to "settle" on sets that cost this much. I would have the dealer or Sony exchange the unit. Otherwise you will just be pissed off every time you watch it... until you get so mad...

That is WAAAAAAAAY too low for brightness on a 65X900B. The whole thing would be dim at that setting. Dark movies/scenes would be unwatchable. I don't like mine below about 47 at worst.
