I thought Live Channels interfaced with the HDHR View app, which would mean it records wherever you set up your DVR for HDHR. I could be wrong here, like I said this is how I thought it worked.

In my testing, the Shield is at least able to transcode to three devices at once while it's playing locally. You just need the Pro to have room for the transcode files.
