^Hard putty works great for filling any resulting voids after gluing. Its a power so you gotta mix it up. You can make it as thin or thick as you want and it never goes bad since its powder.

It depends on your tolerance for the lines really. I can imagine some people wouldnt mind it but considering the work invested to get the kerfs to work, a little sanding don't bother me.....

The higher voltage setting is lower sensitivity, IOW less sensitive to voltage so it takes more to drive to full power.

If the switch doesn't cure it, you can try running the attenuator knobs...

It depends on how they are wired. I have monoprice cables so I know how they come. Unfortunately shield grounding on XLR cables and especially xlr to rca adapters/cables can be a bit of a crap...
