Yes and no. The sound quality is excellent but I dearly miss Audyssey. Fortunately my new sub seems to require a lot less eq than my prior one.

Good lord these things are monsters! I don't even think I've maxed them out but I got about 110dBs at 14hz at my listening position, and my room is massive and opens into the rest of the house.

Forgot about that, but the fact of the matter remains... at least on my rig, Atmos sounds better. Could be I'm just experiencing some degradation of the normal TrueHD sound quality by means of it...

When I say the sound-quality is better, I'm not saying that the use of surrounds has improved, I mean the overall quality has improved. Clarity, detail, dynamics, etc.
