Yes, the darker the room gets the more little things show up. I recently put a second sub in my front sound stage. It is like a spotlight in my room because it is uncovered.

Still nice to see JVC making large TVs and I would take a 120in OLED today lol.

Option 2 is what I did, very happy with that...

Option 2 is what I did, very happy with that decision. There are tutorials out there,it is not so hard to learn. Being able to dial in your machine every 500 hrs is worth the time money and effort.

I will just add that after more then 2000 hrs with the JVC X500 I am still blown away. Specially with blu rays. Watched Aliens on the week end and it was just superb.

That sucks, only reason I bought Calman was to take advantage of the autocal feature with my X500. I would have just stuck with HCFR otherwise.
