I did much the same w/ my 92" screen. But there was no way to move the mount from my previous projectors. So I've had to use keystone to make the image fit the screen perfectly. I'm sure there are...

I'm curious about something regarding powered towers in general, not just DefTech's. Mine have a switchable crossover set at 150Hz. If I use a single speaker cable the crossover is to be ON (speakers...

Sorry MrGrey, that wasn't directed at you. I haven't yet seen the movie so I can't attest to its legitimacy. I don't think anyone can. My wife saw it in our modest HT while I was outside. I can say...

Is there any justification for getting an inexpensive sub ($300) for the LFE channel when one's main speakers (powered towers) can and do play deeper (-3dB@25Hz) than the sub probably will?

Honestly, they're essentially identical except for bass output. As long as your crossovers are dialed in properly you should not notice a difference. Since the surrounds are used primarily for...

There is just no way that the 8" powered speaker in the CS-8060HD could possibly qualify as being a "subwoofer", DefTech's advertising notwithstanding. You'll still want to run it "small", xo'd at...

I have to believe that Dr. Sean Olive, et al, won't let the recent influx of quality bargain-priced speakers (Andrew Jones designs, among others) deter Harman from releasing a new, even better...

I see this as a real plus... one of the primary reasons, other than bulb replacement... for owning this projector. Accuracy is a good thing.

This projector reminds me of the Advent Loudspeaker in the early 1970s. No way a $250/pair speaker should sound this good. It wasn't state-of-the-art, but it was close, and cheap, and made you smile....

Harman/Infinity made several models with great bass: 2, possibly 3 different Preludes; the Intermezzo line; the Interlude IL-60 and IL-50; and the Overture series (designed by Andrew Jones). All had...

I have a feeling that most of those diagrams were made when the "7" channel was a matrix derived single channel as on DVDs, a la DDex or DTS Neo6. Now that the L and R rear channels are discrete in...

I'd use two Beta 10s high in the rear corners. The newer uncompressed audio codecs have discrete rear channels that I believe benefit by being separated by the width of your viewing area. That's the...

I imagine that wherever your Primus towers sound best would also be fine for the R263s. Since they are rear-ported I'd recommend 8 inches at the very least. Most speakers create the most realistic...
