Gravity will pull the cone down and the magnet wont do anything about it since the vc isn't normally magnetized. How important it is depends on the driver's ts parameters

Mostly agreed. I was not saying Dirac is trying to pull one over, rather that real life results will not match the predicted, at least in my experience.

Dirac requires that you move the mic to multiple measurement locations so when i measured in the sweet spot with OmniMic i'm sure...

For the money its hard to beat a medium or low speed model of the yate loons at 7v.

I've had some for at least 7 years that are still going strong and are still very quiet even run horizontally.
