Are you using a short cable from AVR to Darbee and then a long cable from Darbee to projector? If so, reverse the cables and place the Darbee up with the projector.

Goes through 3/4" MDF like butter. Could cut in one pass, but easier on the bit to go with two.

I have not heard any talk of a correction for this. Other projectors (more expensive) have had slight banding issues. Most do not notice the banding.

If you are still talking 120" or less, you do not need high gain. 1.3 gain will be plenty. If you go down to 110" as discussed, then 1.1 gain is plenty.
