The the part D105 in front of the fuse. It is a cheap surge protector that was undersized, can blow from normal use. Cut it out and if you want surge protection just buy an output strip that has it.

Wish I could find a SCQ3.8 but it doesn't exist. Don't go smaller than a SCQ3.6 as too much tension will wear out the bushings in the load motor.

The 703 needs a new grip ring on the spindle motor. The 2090 does not normally have a grip ring issue but you never know. If you feel comfortable opening up your players you can give the 703 a try....
