IGNORE ALL OF THE BELOW, POWER CYCLING FIXED IT

Well, now my 88a is a brick.

Too many people telling me to make sure I had the latest firmware, I guess.

I launched the Dirac utility, hit...

I think the most apparent change that I noticed immediately was dialog intelligibility. I plan to do some REW sweeps to see if I can see where this is coming from. I expect to see improvements in...

Yes, I really am. I'm not sure the XPA-7 would fit on my shelf...I'll have to measure. I'm a bit biased towards the sunfire amps because they run so incredibly cool...and all of this stuff is in a...

Yep, confirmed. You were exactly right.

I ran a 3 channel calibration (L/R/Sub) and it nailed it at 75db. So, I'll have to compose a post over on the miniDSP forum to see if there is a real...

Yep, I plan to first try to "prove" it by running a calibration without those two channels. Then I'll make a post with all the details.

But, what's with giving me advice on how to *not* buy new...

Yep, agreed about maxing out the output level, however you end up doing it.

Unfortunately, getting my levels matched probably means spending another $2500 or so on a 7 channel amp. Fun! (unless...

I guess I would argue with the use of the word "MUST." If you don't move the slider, let's say it's at -15db or something like that, and you exit DLCT, walk over to your 88a, and turn the volume...
